What Are The 4 Types Of Allergic Reactions

It’s that time of the year again when allergic reactions and allergies are at an all-time high. Allergies are of so many kinds and even are reactions, so here is a list of very commonly occurring allergic reactions according to allergy doctors.

Let’s start with a very common breathing or respiratory allergy, asthma. Asthma is very common in a lot of people, no matter what their ages are. Asthma is the sudden difficulty in breathing and it occurs when you are exposed to a certain trigger or allergen. Asthma can also be a quite notable symptom in a lot of allergic reactions too.

Asthma can occur when your breathing stops and continues erratically. You have to gulp in air to be able to breathe properly again. This is because your airways get blocked or they collapse due to some reason. It can be an infection or it can be a trigger of your own body.

You need to have an inhaler on hand if you are someone who gets very bad asthmatic attacks, the inhaler will help you breathe properly again and it will also open your airways. Inhalers contain corticosteroids, which help to alleviate the symptoms of asthma and it also opens up your airways and allows you to breathe without any problems, whatsoever.

Skin Allergies/Eczema

Another very common allergic reaction is related to the skin. It can be either dermatitis or eczema. Both eczema and dermatitis are very similar to each other. Basically, any eczema which is atopic, which means that it is caused by external factors or something which came in contact with your skin and caused this rash. Eczema is also called infantile dermatitis because it is very common in children of young age. You can also get eczema through pollen, dirt, hay, pet fuzz and even some skin products.

A lot of people are sensitive to smell and fragrance in their skin care products, so they have to avoid these products at all costs. Otherwise, this can cause a very severe allergic reaction to the skin and your skin will start to form red and bumpy patches all over. Some of them can be red and they can also be filled with a liquid or puss. They can be infectious and if they are not taken care of, they will only get more and more severe.

Topical creams like anti itch creams and antibiotics can be a great way to help relieve the itch and burning sensation in the red patches. Try to look out for the triggers too, as avoiding eczema and other skin allergies is much easier than treating it in its extremely severe consumption.

Food Allergies

Food allergies are also very common and they can be missed very easily. A lot of foods are not easily digestible by people. They have intolerance to some foods and even drinking products. Foods like nuts, grains, seeds and even dairy products can have a very severe reaction to whoever is consuming them. People can get tested for food allergies very easily and from there on out, they have to avoid certain foods they are allergic to.

Alternatives can be used to give them the nutrition they need in case they can’t eat something anymore. For example, instead of dairy products, soy and plant-based products are used to give them the nutrients and minerals they need which they are missing out by skipping dairy.
